Becky Haber

(Glen's Color Blind Study Here)

From Becky Haber:

"I have 140 programs, and I put each in an acid-free plastic sleeve. Most of them are performances of "Singschool" or the Concordia Band, or Calvin College Orchestra. There are a couple Commencements from Calvin College, and oration competitions.
Churches gave special oratorios like "Esther the Beautiful Queen," and "The Eternal City," and included the libretto. Of historical note are the live performances of famous musicians. Gerrit saw Ysaye play violin, Paderewski play piano, Mascagni conduct Cavelleria Rusticana, and Victor Herbert and John Philip Sousa conducting their bands. I didn't include them because I'm only listing the Michigan people. However, I did include the merchant sponsors at these events. I have 3526 entries in the document."
Becky's paternal great grandfather Gerrit Winsewmius, born Sep 9, 1865 kept a journal. Her summary of that journal (over 3000 entries) may be found by clicking here. Becky has indexed every name that occured, along with the date and nature of the recognitionon. I have linked some that refer to the DeKorne and Wierenga families. The entire index is available on this site.
