Winter Travels 2007

We left on Christmas day. It's always a thrill to exchange the cold of Michigan for the warmth of Texas and to reconnect with winter Texan friends. Three of our grandsons spent the first ten days with us . . the best weather of the month.

I (Don) traveled to Mississippi and for much of February worked on various Katrina relief projects, I was introduced to KC Carter and his Missionary Supply Organization. Great things are methodically happening . . . one family at a time. It was a privilege being a part of project Isaac and this ministry. Check it out! It was also enjoyable visiting and helping some of the families I worked with last year. God's presence is evident! Visit the following Katrina relief projects I worked on. Project Isaac, Bay St. Louis, MS . . . . Project Keith & Diane . . . . Changes at Pass Christian . . . . Ms Althea

We returned to Michigan on March 3rd, just in time for the heaviest snowfall of the season. Icy lake Michigan was beautiful and once the house warmed up it was a cozy few weeks. Cindy (aka Sandy Feet)bought the second floor of her condo building (visit the Sand Box Inn) and discovered its uniqueness is ideally suited for rental purposes. . . including spring breakers! It just happened when the first group of eight (more or less) were set to move in, she had a job in Puerto Rico that she couldn't afford to turn down. She flew me down to be the 'house parent', take care of the dogs and do a few projects. Well, someone had to do it! I did mange to keep my long string of Spring Breaks in tact and spent one enjoyable afternoon on the Radisson stage!
